Putnam County invites you to visit and explore some of our natural, historic and cultural attractions and events.  It's a "Great Place, Great Pace...Naturally!"  Where the St. Johns River flows, trophy bass are plentiful, pristine natural beauty and Florida Heritage is bountiful.  Come to fish.  We have some of the top spots in the state for Trophy Bass.  Come to relax.  Soothing, pristine waterways and lakes are everywhere.  We have hundreds of miles of trails and preserved natural lands for all to enjoy.

Putnam County has 17 blueways that were officially designated by the State of Florida, including the first portion of the St. Johns River to be designated as a blueway.  Blueways are also known as "paddling trails" and are trails along waterways such as rivers, streams, and lakes for use by canoes, kayaks and other non-motorized water craft.  For more information about Putnam County's blueways and paddling opportunities, click here.
